Certify Binder for Multiple Specifications With One Sample in LASTRADA™

Our new asphalt binder parameter set allows producers to certify a tank or blend according to multiple specifications with a single sample. Parameter sets also communicate the testing scope for bitumen samples depending on the required certificates of analysis. In this Lightning Demo, we will show you how LASTRADA’s allows you to evaluate a sample against multiple specifications and create multiple COAs.

The Parameter Set

LASTRADA supports the creation of multiple versions of tests called parameter sets. This example, shows two parameters for the ductility test.

Specifications

LASTRADA's specifications can include more than one parameter for any test allowing users to create a universal specification that tests samples against multiple specifications.

The Specifications Communicate Testing Scope

The specifications are designed to test for compliance and communicate what tests are to be run so that one or more binder specifications can be checked for compliance.

VIDEO TRANSCRIPT

Our new asphalt binder parameter set allows producers to certify a tank or blends according to multiple specifications with a single sample. Parameter sets, also communicate the testing scope for bitamin samples depending on required certificates of analysis. In this Lightning Demo,  I will show you how LASTRADA's parameter sets allow you to evaluate a sample against multiple specifications and create multiple certificates of analysis.

In this customer example of the parameter set they've created two parameters for the ductility test, both at 5 cm/ Second pull speed but 10° Centigrade for one test and 25° Centigrade for the other test. In the specification, they've created a production specification that has both the 10° C and 25° C ductility test. In the testing window now the technician is directed to run the Ductility test at both 10° C and 25° C. This allows them to enter both results 76 and 115 in this case. They can now either use the temporary re-evaluation feature of LASTRADA or a template to produce unique COAs for two different specifications using the results from this one sample. The first specification requires the ductility to be performed at 10° and that value and its specifications are filled for them. When they re-evaluate against the second specification LASTRADA pulls in the new specification value of 120 CM minimum and the new result and showing the test for pass or fail. This template also happens to include signatures and other detailed information for their customer.
